BRIDE
Blurb:
From USA Today Bestselling Author, Logan Chance, comes a powerfully
spell-binding enemies to lovers duet ready to capture your heart.
Here comes the bride, all dressed in lies.
Love and cherish are not in Gabriel Prince’s vocabulary. He’s used to
getting what he wants, and what he wants is me—as his bride.
I won’t give in to Gabriel’s undeniable sex appeal. I won’t fall for his
charm. He won’t lift my veil of secrets. I promise to make his billionaire
life miserable until he has no choice but to get rid of me.
Happy wife, happy life? I’ll let him think that.

RHR RATING 5*/5
Chapter’s of this have been subject to Logan’s newsletter, and I purposely didn’t read them for wanting to wait to read the story in full…and Holy **** even with the ending…yes it does have one of those ‘cliff hanger’ endings…which I generally am not a fan of simply due to the fact that if it’s a story I’m really into (and this is ) I hate to have to wait for the next part!! In this case I make an exception,as the concluding part Groom is not that far off (thankfully)
Gabriel Prince…had an empire to inherit, yet his departed Grandfather Joseph Prince has decreed in order to succeed in his claim..he has to take a wife, one that he has chosen…Clementine Bright.
Right from the Prologue,I was invested in this story, told in DUAL POV’s,there are elements of mystery, intrigue, lies, twists and turns, some simmering attraction between Clementine and Gabriel and the surprise inclusion of a character from a previous story, all adding to my enjoyment of reading….I won’t go into anymore detail,so not to give too much more away, all I will say is that I can’t wait for Groom!!

COLD HEARTED BALLER

BLURB:
I have three superstitions I live by:
1. No dating all season.
2. Don’t jinx a no-hitter while one’s in progress.
3. Be cold-hearted. If you find something you think about more than
baseball, destroy it.
Calliope Thomas is one of those things. Ever since she left a bad review on
the Max Energy Drink I endorse, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about
her. Obviously, when she said she hoped I had a losing season, I had to
meet her and get her to take the words back.
Now, she’s making me do insane things. Like, obsess over the color of her
panties or if I can make her blush. Read superstition one—I don’t do this
sort of thing.
I play ball, not chase after a woman I barely know.
But, I am, and she wants nothing to do with me.
She thinks I’m the devil.
And I have to say she makes me want to sin.
I’m becoming a borderline stalker.
And to make matters worse she’s affecting my game.
I can’t pitch.
I can’t hit.
I can’t focus.
Something needs to give, and it won’t be me.

The blurb gives enough away as to the concept,so what to say without giving all that much away?
I laughed out loud throughout this story,it’s a well written, fun, flirty, and a whole lot of dirty,rom-com DUAL POV, with a sports element…and I loved it!
Calliope(29) and Max(33) are great characters, with their witty banter back and forth,(emails,FB chat,) yet as their story unfolds, the chemistry gets off the scale and Holy F*** leading to some very H.O.T. scenes!
Cold Hearted Baller is the first in a new venture from Logan Chance writing under the pen name of ‘LOGAN’…. and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!

Earning a full scholarship to King University was my hard earned ticket out of hell. I’m happy to be away from the small town I grew up in and all the equally small minded people who live there.
As a fan of MM ,this story was of a particular interest to me,and I have to say that, for this being the first attempt from Marley at writing in this genre,I was not disappointed by Cole and Elijah’s journey.
As the book blurb gives enough away,I won’t go into much detail as to how their story unfolds, but what I will say is that Marley has created a well written,emotional,H.O.T. as F@%* tale, with character’s that work well together-and not just the two leads, but side character’s that had been introduced in the previous book, the friendships formed along the way, with some twists and turns, and some drama/angst that kept my attention throughout.
I really hope this is not the last we see of these characters, and that Marley will write more in the MM genre!
And can’t wait to see what both Jacob and Marley have planned under their pen name for book 3!

As the blurb gives enough away as to the concept,I won’t be going into great detail as to all that happens, that being said,it is more than the usual ‘student/teacher’ affair,Jacob’s created another story that I enjoyed, for the most part and was fully engaged with from start to finish.
Miles(33) is divorced with a toddler son (Joey-who is adorable) and needs a babysitter a few evenings a week while he teaches. Thanks to his sister Miranda’s suggestion-Sophie (19-almost 20) and an employee of her’s enter’s their lives for the summer job before starting King University.
There is a good mix of chemistry with a slow burn with their attraction gradually building until the inevitable happens between Miles and Sophie, and they are pretty hot an heavy and decide to have some fun together until the summer ends and school starts, and then the little twist of finding out that Miles is one of her Professor’s makes things awkward, but the attraction doesn’t go away from either one so the relationship continues, however another moment of drama/angst comes up towards the end and this part I didn’t really invest in to be honest, which has resulted in my rating.
As I said earlier I enjoyed this story, apart from drama towards the ending, although after it was dealt with,I did get back into it,on the whole it is well written,as there is also the introduction to the characters that will feature in the following two books in the series, and other’s who might be given future stories by Jacob (I’m merely guessing as such).
I will re-read this and am looking forward to seeing what is planned for the rest of the series

RHR RATING 3*/5
From the blurb, the concept of this debut book from a UK based Author, had me intrigued. The start setting the scene, and then moving on to a year later, with Eve trying to move on from the events had potential, and I did like how there was some banter back and forth with her and ‘Kit’,and the introduction to his brothers (who I assume will all get their own stories as the series goes on).
I did however, struggle to get fully into it,for me,both leads frustrated me with how they were at some points in the story, and I did have to put it down for a few days before returning to it,I don’t want to go into detail as to not spoil for other’s,and I stress that this is just my thoughts-As I said there was/is potential, there is some suspense/all not quite as it seems element that hopefully will be further explored as it does end with a ‘cliffhanger’,and even if it didn’t totally wow me,I will be interested to see what the Author has planned.

Title: Covering Ollie(On Call #2)
Author: Freya Barker
Genre:Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 14, 2019
Hosted by: Buoni Amici Press, LLC.

Living in Durango, Colorado for the past eighteen years allowed Ollie Rizzo to build her own business and carve out a quiet existence for her and her teenage daughter. She’s used to going it alone. However, their new silver-haired neighbor might present a problem—not only is he handsome—he’s also Durango’s new chief of police; a complication she can’t afford.
For recently widowed Joe Benedetti, the job offer as Durango’s new chief of police came at the right time. With life, the new job, and his two young sons settling into a comfortable routine, he does his best to ignore the beautiful and intriguing woman across the street. Yet when he discovers she’s caught the attention of the FBI, there is no way he can stay away.
Their worlds collide with the appearance of FBI Special Agent Cruz Livingston. The agent has a warning to deliver, one that spins life in Durango out of control, giving Joe a crucial mission—keep Ollie alive.

RHR RATING 5*/5
The second book in this series, and another winner as far as I’m concerned.Once again Freya has created a story that gives the reader a good mix of slow burn romance with some mystery/intrigue from start to finish, told in a DUAL POV,with some twists and surprises along the way. As the book blurb states enough,I don’t feel the need to give all that much away, what I really enjoyed was the interactions between both leads, there was attraction/chemistry between Ollie and Joe(who are like most of her other characters older in years),yet because of insecurities on both sides as I’ve said already it was a slow burn gradual build up. Being set in the same world as her other series (Rock Point) there was a cross-over of character’s which also added to my overall enjoyment of reading.
I hope there is more to come in this series!

Freya Barker inspires with her stories about ‘real’ people, perhaps less than perfect, each struggling to find their own slice of happy.
She is the author of the Cedar Tree and Portland, ME Series, the Northern Lights Collection and the Rock Point Series. She is also co-author of the SnapShot Series.
