Bodhi Shine, my brother’s best friend, is the closest thing I have to an enemy. Tall, with irritatingly good looks, this cocky jerk has been a thorn in my backside for as long as I can remember.
We’re like oil and water—we just don’t mix.
I do my best to avoid him, but now that he’s the new running back for the Charleston Pirates and staying with my twin, that’s damn near impossible.
And when we find ourselves as guests at the same beach house, there’s no way to keep my distance. Forced to spend time together, it’s not long before our mutual attraction wins out over common sense.
Although I remind myself of all the reasons I should resist the rookie… making the wrong choice has never felt so right.
RHR REVIEW by Vicki RHR RATING 5*/5
The last in the Charleston Pirates Series, but it is easily read as a standalone. The blurb states enough to give an idea of who are featured , a sports romance, with the added ‘brother’s best friend’ concept. Told in DUAL POV’s, it’s another well written, great attention to detail, slow burn story that I got fully invested in right from the start. I loved that the previous characters also appear, there is some hilarious banter back and forth, and a little bit of drama along the way, not only that but with the introduction of some new characters, it’s a hint as to what Jacob may have planned for future stories! I won’t say any much more so not to spoil it!
Manager for Hart’s Horse Rescue, Lucy Lenoir, finally feels she has a handle on life after having worked hard to leave her old one behind. So hard, there are times she almost forgets what she escaped. Memories which suddenly come flooding back when she catches a glimpse of a familiar horseman in town.
What’s worse, he’s in the company of the unlikely cowboy she’s only just beginning to trust.
High Mountain Tracker, Bo Rivera, tries hard never to repeat his mistakes. A huge one changed the course of his life and made him particularly cautious, especially around women. So much so, he almost passed up on the best thing to ever walk into his life; the compact, blonde ballbuster in need of a gentle hand.
However, the more he learns about her, the more he realizes a soft touch alone won’t keep her demons at bay. Those will need a firmer hand…to keep the gun steady.

Muscular, tattooed, and bearded, Ace Carney is intimidating as hell and my opposite in every way.
With his piercing gray eyes and gruff demeanor, he reminds me of the wolf shifters from my favorite romance novels.
Unfortunately, this is real life, not fiction. There’s no way one of the NFL’s top linebackers would fall for a klutzy future aerospace engineer—I’m not that lucky.
With graduation only months away, my focus should be on maintaining my grades. Yet, the moments Ace and I spend together prove that below his grumpy exterior lies the heart of a gentle giant.
We’re at different points in our lives. He’s approaching the end of his career and mine’s about to begin.
I shouldn’t let myself fall in love with the linebacker. But falling never felt so good.
RHR REVIEW by Vicki RHR RATING 5*/5
Mariko (22) and Ace’s (35) story was another enjoyable addition to the series, yet is easily followed as a standalone. Told in DUAL POV’s, with a good mix of LOL moments, their relationship developed gradually, and the storyline also touched on a serious side to a sports condition, without giving too much away, it’s another well written, with great attention to detail story that I got fully invested in right from start to finish.
I Loved it!

With death lurking at every turn, how do I win back the heart of the woman I’m once again falling for while eliminating the imminent peril coming for us all?
RHR REVIEW by Vicki RHR RATING 4*/5
‘Whitney Morgan was the one good thing I remember about my time in Albans Cove’ (Lynch)
As the blurb states, 15 years has passed since Lynch (who featured in Bk1) and Whitney were together, and having to return to his hometown, their reconnection comes alongside other elements to the plotline, which made it one crazy, fast paced, with LOL moments, mixed in with some suspense tale! Not to give much away as to how it all unfolds, it’s DUAL POV’s, and the addition of new characters, who could be potential future stories, it was an entertaining read!

I didn’t choose this life. It was chosen for me a long time ago. Meet a darker breed of bikers in bestselling author ML Nystrom’s gritty The Dutchmen MC series.
Sold at sixteen to a man three times her age, Carrie’s life has been a series of betrayals and brutalities. Beaten and starved, she fights to keep any shred of dignity she has left until she can find a way to escape the life she never chose.
Angel appears as her salvation, but her hopes are destroyed as his lies and duplicities are exposed.
What price does she have to pay to finally find her peace?
His eyes. God, his eyes. A true gold with dark brown rings. His hair was a dark dirty blonde, the top half pulled back in a ponytail and the scruff on his face was slightly darker. Slouched back as he was in the boxy chair, his stomach didn’t protrude, showing he was fit. He was a big guy anyway, and Carrie estimated he would tower over her five-foot seven-inch height even with the added bonus of the four-inch heels she wore. He had to be a big guy as the huge cock he freed from his jeans indicated.
Those eyes stared into hers for a long moment. Something let go in her middle. He wouldn’t hurt her. She didn’t know why she thought that. There was nothing in his gaze that indicated compassion or pity or any other emotion. Snake eyes, some people might call them, but there was something that called to her.
A full shot glass appeared in her line of vision and she leaned back to take it from Angel’s hand. She looked up into his eyes and tossed back the liquor, taking away his taste. It burned a long path to her stomach. She didn’t like it and avoided drinking as much as she did the drugs, but she thought if she refused, Grizzly would take it as an offense and make her do something or someone else. Angel tucked himself back in his pants. His expression was unreadable. Blank. He came, but he might as well have been a statue for all the emotion he showed. Angel? More like a stone gargoyle.
I’ve had stories in my head since I was a child. All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured my interest. I’m a voracious reader, and have spent many hours in my life devouring books, therefore it’s only fitting I should write a few myself!
I’ve spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn’t mean I’m pigeon-holed into one mold. I’ve been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring. As one of my students said to me once, “Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities.” I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world. I hope you enjoy it!

Dahlia Donovan wrote her first romance series after a crazy dream about shifters and damsels in distress. Dahlia is an autistic who prefers irreverent humour and unconventional characters. She has found great happiness with her husband, her tiny dog Bacon, and her collection of books and video games.
Dahlia has worked over the years as a teacher, insurance adjuster, and even had a brief stint as the pianist in a band–very brief, like three weeks. She uses her experiences as a TCK travelling around the world during the first twenty-years of her life to add spice to her stories.
When I purchased a home in an upscale neighborhood, I never imagined having one of the Charleston Pirates living next door.
Knox Irons knows just how to push my buttons. Every part of him rubs me the wrong way—well, not quite every part.
So imagine my surprise when Mr. Tall, Dark, and Infuriating comes to me for help with his kicking. I want to say no, but the desperation in his dark gaze has me agreeing all too soon.
Being around Knox while he’s bare chested and sweaty is challenging. But the way he listens and responds to my instruction is downright intoxicating.
I keep reminding myself, no matter how well we work together on the football field, he’s still my enemy when we’re off it.
I’m only here to coach the kicker, not crush on him.
RHR REVIEW by Vicki RHR RATING 5*/5
Told in DUAL POV’s, there is plenty of banter between Delaney and Knox , chemistry that’s evident from their first meeting, again a good mix of sports detail alongside, and with recurring characters, appearing with new ones, it’s got LOL moments, heat, a sweet Epilogue, it was another very enjoyable, well written story that is easily read as a standalone, while also an edition to the series. I LOVED IT and look forward to the next one.
