Muscular, tattooed, and bearded, Ace Carney is intimidating as hell and my opposite in every way.

With his piercing gray eyes and gruff demeanor, he reminds me of the wolf shifters from my favorite romance novels.

Unfortunately, this is real life, not fiction. There’s no way one of the NFL’s top linebackers would fall for a klutzy future aerospace engineer—I’m not that lucky.

With graduation only months away, my focus should be on maintaining my grades. Yet, the moments Ace and I spend together prove that below his grumpy exterior lies the heart of a gentle giant.

We’re at different points in our lives. He’s approaching the end of his career and mine’s about to begin.

I shouldn’t let myself fall in love with the linebacker. But falling never felt so good.

RHR REVIEW by Vicki RHR RATING 5*/5

Mariko (22) and Ace’s (35) story was another enjoyable addition to the series, yet is easily followed as a standalone. Told in DUAL POV’s, with a good mix of LOL moments, their relationship developed gradually, and the storyline also touched on a serious side to a sports condition, without giving too much away, it’s another well written, with great attention to detail story that I got fully invested in right from start to finish.

I Loved it!

Jacob Chance grew up in New England and still lives there today. He’s a martial artist, a football fan, a practical joker, and junk food lover.

A USA Today bestselling author of sports romance and romantic suspense, Jacob plans on writing many more stories.
