The final book and the concluding part to Dev and Cash’s story, and O..M..G what an end! It could be followed as a standalone, but for those who have read the previous, then it’s been worth the wait! This had so much going on, twists and turns, revelations and truth’s come to light, that I did not see coming, with more WTF moments along the way, and yet the core of it was the developing relationship between Dev and Cash, their chemistry still off the charts, I was totally hooked to see how it would all play out, and would love to read more (maybe a novella type/Epilogue further into their lives?)
I LOVED IT!
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

The first time I met Murphy, the goalie of the Coyotes hockey team, I thought he was the most attractive man I’d ever seen.
The second time, we shared a wild night and I never planned to see him again.
Imagine my surprise when I showed up for a work meeting only to find out Murphy was my new client.
He needed a bodyguard to pose as his live-in girlfriend, and I was perfect for the job.
And now I’ve discovered living together in such close proximity comes with its own set of challenges… The man never wears a shirt. Or pants.
The more I fight to keep things professional between us, the more he struts around in his boxer briefs trying to tempt me.
It turns out guarding the goalie may be easy.
But resisting him is damn near impossible.

The third book in the series, yet easily followed as a standalone. As the blurb gives enough away, what I will say is that it was an enjoyable read, told in DUAL POV’s, again, much like Jacob’s previous sports romance stories, there is a good mix of sport’s detail, alongside the developing romances with the chosen leads, and plenty of LOL moments. I really liked seeing previous character’s pop up and with this book, there was a bit of suspense added and to begin with it was an interesting concept for Murphy to have a stalker, although for me, I felt that the reveal of who was behind it and how it was resolved seemed to be a bit rushed, however, on the whole it was as I have said, an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next in the series.

“Whoa, that’s a lot of water,” I commented mostly to myself.
“She would rival some of the best doomsday preppers,” Bartek mumbled back. With that he grabbed two gallons of water and waited for me.
“Thank you again for everything.” Pani Mazurek just nodded and returned to her tea. I grabbed my towel off the back of the chair and headed for the door with Bartek following, lugging water.
“I’m really sorry you have to do this,” I commented to him on the stairs.
“It’s okay. I had to get going anyway. I have to finish running some errands and then I have to get ready to take this American girl over to the high school in the afternoon,” he mocked.
“You don’t have to take me over if you’re busy,” I commented feeling myself blush.
“I was kidding, Josephine.”
“Call me Joey, please.” I said opening the door to the apartment. He walked right in and headed for the kitchen. Being Pani Mazurek’s grandson, and knowing his uncle lived in the unit, it was no surprise he knew the layout.
“You can call me Barti,” he said sticking out his hand for an official handshake. “But not in front of my grandmother. She will go ballistic. She has this thing about names,” he commented.
“I’ve noticed,” I responded with a smile.
“Okay, I will be back around two this afternoon. What’s your number? I can just text you,” he asked pulling his phone out of his pocket.
“So, about that, I don’t have a phone,” I said looking down at my feet.
“You’re kidding right? I know I’m a stranger, but you can trust me with your number. I won’t share it.”
“No really, it’s not a joke. I don’t have a phone.”
“Whoa,” he said looking at me with a wide-eyed expression.
“I can just come down to the street at two,” I said, and he nodded somewhat speechless.
“Okay, well see you then Barti.”
“See you then Joey.” With that he walked down the stairs still shaking his head in disbelief. I closed the door and leaned against it for a moment trying to make sense of my morning. We had been in this new place for three days and already I had spoken to more people than I had with the last four places combined.

My dad has been the coach of the Charleston Coyotes for as long as I can remember. All the time I’ve spent in ice rinks has taught me two things:
1.) I will NEVER date a hockey player.
As a single mom, it’s not like I have time for romance anyway.
2.) Nothing smells worse than hockey players after a game.
And I work as a dog groomer, so I have experience with smelly animals.
It’s amazing how quickly my rules are forgotten when Darius walks into my pet salon.
Tall, dark, and tattooed with rippling muscles and a perfect smile must be my kryptonite, because I find myself agreeing to go out with him.
But we’re both keeping secrets we’re not ready to share. And when they finally come out, everything changes between us.
I do my best to keep my distance from him.
Yet, the more I fight my feelings, the more I find myself wanting the winger.
RHR REVIEW by Vicki RHR RATING 5*/5
The blurb gives enough away, so all I’ll say is that Jacob has created another well written story that had me hooked in from start to finish. The first in a new series and it had LOL moments, great attention to detail, told in DUAL POV’s, an introduction to new characters, and cameos from previous ones in a bit of a crossover too. I really enjoyed reading Darius (26) and Evie (24)’s story, and I look forward to reading more.
