I have read every one of Tillie’s books and thought that I had already sampled her best work this year, when I read Souls Unfractured from her Hangmen Series.
Levi Carillo is the youngest, sweetest and most innocent of the brothers and I expected his story to have a little of the angst that we have come to expect before Tillie tied up the Sweet Home Series in a nice heart warming bow, what I got instead was a whole lot more of well, everything!
I really should have known that Tillie would throw everything she had at this book. These boy’s are her original babies after all and it show’s.
I knew going in that Levi was suffering, after all he has been through, losing his mum and the guilt he carried , the things he was forced to do for the Heighters and Axel going to jail affected him deeply but I had no idea just how closed off this beautiful man had become. His almost crippling shyness has made sharing his life and his ‘sweet soul’ with someone almost impossible, instead of partying with his friends and acting his age, Levi has thrown himself into his studies and his football believing that he will never have what his brothers have because he is different.
When Levi rescues a very sick girl from danger, although she has previously done him wrong, he doesn’t hesitate to step in and make sure that she is safe. In doing so, an irrevocable bond is formed that is both beautiful and utterly heart breaking to be a part of. In the process of trying to put this silent fragile girl back together, Levi finally has to confront his own past and the demons that he has carried with him. Can he finally let go of the past and embrace the future he deserves? Can the girl he has given his heart to be everything that he needs her to be in order to survive in his world?
Tillie always manages to delivery a message with her story telling. Writing gives an Author a voice and Tillie uses her voice to the very best of her ability, never one to shy away from the taboo subjects that society wishes to sweep under the carpet, this time we find Tillie bringing topics such as mental health, suicide and bullying to the forefront with such utter compassion and soul destroying clarity that it will break your heart and give you something to think about long after you have turned the final page.
I really am in awe of this woman’s writing and her ability to make you care about her characters. I ugly cried at this book like never before but it was worth it, even if I have puffy eyes for days. The poetry in this book is also beautiful and I can only presume that Tillie has written them herself. Is there no end to this women’s talents?? All of the brothers and their gals are there to help along the way providing much needed support and allowing for some of the most poignant scenes in the book, so if you are missing, Rome, Austin or Axel, you will get your fix.
If you haven’t read any of this Author’s work I suggest you do so now and the Sweet Home Series is the perfect place to start.

I literally could not wait to get my hands on this book and not only because of the beautiful man on the cover. After devouring King & Tyrant,I was desperate for DecemBEAR to come and this book was certainly worth the wait. We finally get inside the head of the bad boy biker who’s loyalties are split between the Club and the family he chose for himself. The MC was all he had ever known but his eyes are now truly open due to his father’s unwillingness to accept his friendships with our beloved King and Preppy.
The story begins in the past, where we find a young Thia who meets Bear in unconventional circumstances. In an effort to stop her running her mouth he makes her an empty promise she believes he will keep. Years later, Thia seeks Bear out hoping he will make good on that promise but instead she finds herself in a whole heap of trouble.
When she eventually comes face to face with the beautiful biker, he is nothing of the vision she remembers, instead she finds an angry, bitter and hopeless man who is drowning himself in women, booze and drugs in an effort to numb the pain of his past.
Bear wants not one thing to do with the broken girl who has found her way into his care but his love of his friends, his humanity and his thirst for revenge give him the strength to pull his way up from the gutter.
“This wasn’t a joke anymore. This was fucking war.”
But Thia is stronger than she seems and she doesn’t just want into his life, she wants into his heart and it’s not long before she is falling for the man who wants to protect her but keep her at arms length.
“When I’m with you it’s like you put me on this fucking unreachable pedestal. I don’t deserve that kind of admiration and sometimes…it scares the fucking shit out of me.”
“The truth is that I’m not the good guy. I’m the fucking bad guy, and club or not, that hasn’t changed.”
I was also pleased to find a healthy doze of King and Ray in this book and my heart hurt a little even as I laughed when Preppy’s voice found it’s way onto the pages but I am so thankful to the author for finding a way to keep this character alive in some way.
I truly love a book which can take you through such a wide array of emotions and I can’t believe we have to wait..again, to find out if this couple get their HEA.
This really is a heart stopping, tear jerking, pantie dropping, ‘what the actual fuck?’ kind of ride…..Oh you are tease Ms Frazier but I love you.

I loved Tash, Alexa slid into the number one spot. I loved this short read. Alexa is a beautician who loves to pole dance for exercise (And damn she is good!)
Alexa is the ultimate friend, She really proves she would do anything for her girl. We get more of the regulars too and a nice addiction of Johnny ( Who is James’ brother)
Johnny and Alexa’s relationship is belter, They have ups and downs and lots of hot hot HOT sex. Johnny is near perfection.
This review isn’t going to be overly long as there are a fair few surprises that I don’t want to ruin.
If you like your men tough, sweet and Irish this is a book for you.
What I love most about kelsey’s writing is how effortless it reads, A sign of a truly talented author. There wasn’t any scenes I felt had just been thrown in or a sex scnece just to bulk to book up. Another 5* Must read.
A word of warning though- Shleby has a sneek peek at the end and it broke me a little, I am so excited to meet Shelby but sooooo nervous for my heart!

I’ve followed Kelsey’s Blog for years, So when I heard she was writing a book I got really excited.
Tash is a great short- insta love read. It has the perfect balance to keep you hooked, And lots of hotness. I devoured it in one sitting.
The Girls are going on a weekend away to Marbella, The dynamics between Tash, Alexa and Shelby are perfect, I’d love a friendship like theirs. I laughed and gasped my way through.
James is a dominant Alpha male, Who is to die for! Did I mention he was a firefighter. He shows Tash a side of herself she never eve knew existed ( I really want to use a hose pun , but I’ll refrain)
I won’t go in to mch more detail as I don’t want to spoilt it for anyone but this a 5* must read.
Fantastic debut from Kelsey Burns I look forward to the rest in the series.

My hand shook as I pulled the box into my lap, preparing myself for what may lay
hidden within. I felt nervous and sick with anticipation. I suddenly wanted to flee,
but where would I go? And how would I get there? Moving my leg took more
concentration than I was willing to admit and I was still attached to what looked to
be a hundred monitoring devices.
The box stared back at me, waiting…wondering when I would crack its lip and finally
divulge the secrets it had been keeping for so long.
What if I didn’t like what I found? What if I did?
Taking a deep breath, I placed my hand on the lip and pulled, knowing there was
only one way to find out.
All neatly arranged inside, I found clothes, a wallet and a scattering of other
personal belongings. I immediately went for the wallet, knowing it would hold the
most information. Everything else forgotten, my fingers traced the smooth edges of
the soft leather as I bent it open.
There staring back at me was a picture of my own face. Because of the mirror across
the room near the sink, I’d managed to catch a glimpse of my reflection a time or
two since awaking here hours earlier.
The man looking up at me on the California driver’s license photo was a stark
contrast to the person I was today.
Cold empty green eyes looked through me, as if the world and everything in it were
beneath him. With a crisp white shirt and flawless green tie and jacket, there was no
smile permeating through the lens–not even a hint of emotion was showing. My
now long, unkempt hair had been trimmed short and neat, matching the impeccable
persona that could be seen even through the tiny picture.
My attention turned towards the address.
1023 Sea Cliff Lane, San Francisco.
I looked out the window, trying to see if anything beyond its paned glass brought
back any hints or memories of a life I once led.
San Francisco.
Even though the driver’s license confirmed what the nurse had already told me, I
still felt no connection with the city below. Nothing called out to me, nothing held
my attention.
Was there anyone down there that would remember my name?
I dug further through the wallet, finding a couple hundred dollars in cash, as well as
several credit cards and a few membership cards to places I’d never heard of, but
apparently belonged to.
Or had belonged to.
What happened to your life when you went into a coma? Did you disappear? Cease
to exist or did life carry on? I looked at the address on my driver’s license and
wondered if I still had a home…a bank account? I wasn’t dead, but who had been
paying my bills for the last two?
Did I have money to pay the bills?
Fuck.
Suddenly, all I wanted was to slip back into that coma and never wake up again.
And then I saw her.
It was just a glimpse at first, the edge of a picture sticking out from inside the wallet-
-a wisp of hair that had me pulling at it to see it properly.
With the golden gate bridge as our backdrop, a much younger, carefree version of
myself held a girl in my arms and suddenly the world didn’t feel so lonely anymore.
Copper red hair tumbled down her back like a fiery mane. Her bright blue eyes
sparkled as if she held untold secrets waiting to be revealed. In my own eyes, I didn’t
see harshness or the rigid void of nothing. I saw her, reflecting back in spades, the
love radiating between us.
I flipped the photo over, hoping for something…anything that would tell me who this
girl was.
There was nothing but a date and a name.

She had a name.
Now all I had to do was find her.
