The blurb says enough of an idea, so what to say without giving too much away?
I liked the initial insight into the background of four families- powerful Mob Boss types who have had an agreement allowing each to exist in peace for the last five years…but with there being a beloved daughter in each of the families, there is trouble ahead when Bishop Blackstone is set to destroy these men by taking each daughter.
What all unfolds certainly wasn’t what I expected Dean and Sofia’s story to be, told in DUAL POV’S, it’s not what I would call a full on Mafia type story,( that’s my opinion) but with there to be another four books in the works (each daughter) then perhaps there will be more to come on that side.
I still enjoyed reading it, as there were some twists, appearances of Xavier, Rhiannon, Gabriel and Clementine(Taken/Bride/Groom), and do look forward to seeing where things will go, as the question remains ~Will Bishop Blackstone succeed in his attempt to get what he wants…or will they bring him down??
